Elizabeth “Beth” Vetor, 38, Marion, went to be with the Lord at 5:06 p.m. on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born in Marion on October 17, 1979, to Charles and Jacquelyn “Jacque” (Caudill) Detamore. Beth married Josh Vetor on December 29, 2001, and he survives.
Beth was a 1998 Marion High School graduate, and she received her associate’s degree from Ivy Tech in 2002. She had a special love for children, whether it was teaching the children in her family or teaching children in a classroom. This passion led her to work at Playhouse Studio of Dance in Marion, where she was a dance teacher and choreographer. She had also formerly taught at Sonshine Preschool in Sweetser. Beth was very active in her church at Northeast Church of God and was especially involved with Bible school.
Survivors include her husband, Josh; children, Kendalyn and Keaton Vetor; parents, Kirk and Jacque Detamore, Marion; brother, Nathan Detamore, Marion; mother-in-law, Amy (Chris) Aguilar, Converse; father-in-law, Newt (Kathy) Vetor, Wabash; sister-in-law, Jenny Vetor, Muncie; step-in-laws, Jolleen (Mike) Schemenaur, Wabash, Jacob (Brittany) Rhodes, Arizona, and Christopher Aguilar, Converse; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and grandmothers-in-law, Alice Hall, Marion, and Delores Vetor, Marion.
The family will receive visitors from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Services to celebrate Beth’s life will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018, at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park.
