Edward L. Cowan passed away on March 11, 2016 at Our Hospice in Columbus, Indiana.
Edward was born April 11, 1946 to Esbert and Mildred (Voelkel) Cowan. He graduated from Peru High School in 1964 and then graduated from Purdue University in 1970. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening, raising German shepherds, and attending Purdue sporting events. He was a machinery and equipment appraiser for over 30 years and then in retirement, he owned his own business, Cowan & Associates.
He is survived by his wife Joan M. Cowan; his mother Mildred Cowan; two sisters: Janet DuChane, abd Doris Timmons (husband Rick); five nieces and nephews: Bryan, Montelle, Angie, Tracy, and Tammi. He also has three great nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be Tuesday at 12:00 noon at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home. Friends may call from 10:30 AM till time of service on Tuesday at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home. Pastor Rod Correll and Pastor George Dinkel will officiate. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
