Danny Gene Shackelford passed away on November, 17, 2017, surrounded by the love of his family and friends.
Danny was born October 24, 1950, Howard County, Indiana. Danny is survived by his wife, Sharon Lesley Shackelford, daughter Jessica Shackelford, grandson Braden Yates, brother Gary Shackelford, sister Sandy Norris, nine nieces, nine great-nieces, eight great nephews, and one great- great niece.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Roscoe Allen Shackelford and Leatrice Bierdemann Shackelford (Joy).
Danny served in the Air Force for twenty-three years. Danny was employed at the Miami Correctional Facility for the last 12 years.
Danny’s main priority was providing for and loving his family. Danny was an avid hunter and fisherman. Danny came to know the lord and attended McGrawsville United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be held at 11-1 PM at McGrawsville United Methodist Church, 9377 South 300 East Amboy 46911, Wednesday, November 22. Funeral will follow at 1:00, followed by burial with military service at Crider-Chapel Cemetery.
