Charles Edward “Chick” Lynn, age 90, of Witmer Lake near Wolcottville, died Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne.  Mr. Lynn was born Dec. 19, 1927 in Van Lear, Kentucky to the late Oliver and Angie (Webb) Lynn.  He honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a Purple Heart recipient.  On January 17, 1953, he married Barbara Lou Pressler in Wabash.  Chick owned several Shell Stations in the Fort Wayne area and he was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2749, Kendallville and the American Legion Post 381, Rome City.
Survivors include: Wife, Barbara Lynn of Witmer Lake, Wolcottville. Son, Jeff Lynn of Rome City. Daughter, Jennifer Lynn of Witmer Lake. Four grandchildren: Christopher Lynn of Kendallville; Adam Lynn of Fort Wayne, Jessica and Shaun Holbrook of Wolcottville, and Nathan Lynn of Kendallville.  Five great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Sister, Lois Blair of Van Lear, Kentucky. Brother, Jack and Pat Lynn of Wabash. Sister, Betty and Harold Chaplin of Wabash.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two great-grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 2 – 4 p.m. at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville followed by a Celebration of Life service at 4 p.m. at Hite Funeral Home with Rev. Darwin Pressler and Rev. Jean Pressler will officiating the service. Military honors will be conducted by the Kendallville VFW and Rome City American Legion Honor Guard.
