Beckie peacefully passed away in Marion General Hospital on February 11, 2016.
Beckie was born in Marion on February 7, 1948 to the late Raymond and Lois (Clawson) Whelchel. She lived in Marion all of her life and was a softhearted, loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her children, Bobby J. Whelchel, Pamela Sutton, Tammy Milnickle; special friend, Sherry Hudson; siblings, John (Marilyn) Whelchel, Fred (Kathy) Whelchel, Dene Whelchel, Nancy Cox; 7 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Whelchel and Lois Boyle; daughter, Janice Nelson.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion. Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 South Washington Street, Marion, Indiana was entrusted with the arrangments.
