Willie E. Fannin, 84, of Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, Indiana, formerly of Sidney, Indiana, died at 8:30 am, Monday, July 10, 2023, at Peabody Healthcare Center. He was born on February 13, 1939, in Lancer, Kentucky, to John and Josephine (Burchett) Fannin.
Willie was a US Air Force veteran. He worked 18 years as a machinist at Zimmer in Warsaw. Willie enjoyed riding his motorcycle, collecting old cars, machine work and running the lathe.
He is survived by his brother, James D. (Hilda) Fannin of Wabash, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Elva Prater.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Friday, July 14, 2023, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with David Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 9:30-10:30 am Friday, at the funeral home.
