Willie Bradford Clariett

Willie Bradford Clariett, 81, Marion, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at University Nursing Center in Upland. He was born in Houston, Mississippi, on December 3, 1940, to Bradford and Lorene (Moore) Clariett.

He was a member of the Moose, American Legion, and  Men’s Marion Bowling Hall of Fame  He gradated from Marion High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, he was apart of the 101st Airborne- 1st Air Cav. He worked the Department of Corrections in Pendleton, Veterans Affairs in Marion, and Sheriffs Department in Delaware and Grant County. Willie enjoyed being outdoors, he was an avid fisherman and enjoyed bowling. Willie never met a stranger.  

Survivors include his significant other, Jane Blair; sons, Carl Clariett of Atlanta, GA and Willie B. Clariett Jr. of Vassor, KS; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Jamie (Shannon) Clariett and Timmy (Sharon) Clariett.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughters, Tammy Love and Bonnie Barber.

The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12 noon on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN 46933.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Willie’s life will begin at 12 noon with Pastor Mark Sluss officiating.  Burial will take place at Marion National Cemetery.
