William David Boyd, Jr., 70, of Van Buren, IN, passed away at 2:27 PM on Friday, February 1, 2019 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on Friday, September 10, 1948, in Marion, IN. He married Marylou Hartley on November 13, 1967 in Marion (Roseburg), IN; together they have celebrated 51 years of marriage. He moved to the Van Buren area around 30 years ago. Mr. Boyd enjoyed hunting, coon hunting, fishing, golfing and bowling. He loved dirt car racing and was a former driver and owner. His favorite driver was Bill Lewis. Mr. Boyd use to race greyhounds in field trial racing and swim dogs for many years.
He will be dearly missed by his Wife – Marylou (Hartley) Boyd, Van Buren, IN, Sons – Patrick Boyd, Van Buren, IN, Douglas Boyd, Van Buren, IN, Daughters – Misty (Jim) Long, Huntington, IN, Jeannie Boyd, Van Buren, IN, 2 Brothers and 2 Sisters.
He was preceded in death by his Father – William David Boyd, Sr., Mother – Geneva (Wine) Boyd, Daughter Mary Lois Boyd and several Brothers & Sisters.
At this time there will be no services scheduled. A memorial service is going to be set for a later date.
