William “Bill” E. King, 95, of Montpelier, IN, passed away at 12:28 AM on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Signature Health & Rehabilitation in Bluffton, IN. He was born on Wednesday, March 14, 1923, in Montpelier, IN. He married Louise (Schwartzkopf) King on Saturday, March 31, 1945 in Montpelier. Bill attended Montpelier High School. He worked for Gripco for 10 years. He was owner and operator of King’s Garage. Bill was a member of the Moose Lodge, the Montpelier Fire Dept., and the I.F.V.A. He and his wife had summered at Irish Lake in North Webster.
Loving Survivors Include his Son – Terry E. (Wife, Amber) King, Montpelier, IN, Grandsons – Michael King, Montpelier, IN, Bryan King, Montpelier, IN, Granddaughter – Stephanie Cain, Indianapolis, IN, and 7 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Father – Herbert Lachot King, Mother – Jennie (Pace) King, Wife – Louise (Schwartzkopf) King, Son – Billy Joe King, Brother – Glen King, Sister – Doris Dickerson, and Sister – Lois Rose.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W. Windsor St. Montpelier, IN. 47359 on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
A service to celebrate Bill’s life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 27, 2018 with Dewey Zent officiating. Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F Cemetery in Montpelier.
