Wanda Cecelia Hazelbaker born October 26, 1925, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2018, at Elmcroft Heartland Memory Care Village in Muncie, IN, at the age of 92.
She is survived by her husband of seventy-two years, Zell Hazelbaker, Fairmount, daughter Carol Ann Gallo, Jonesboro, son Duane (Janna) Hazelbaker, Indianapolis, grandchildren Matt (Amy) Gallo, Indianapolis, Darci (Dale Rush) Hazelbaker, Tucson AZ, Danen (Lana Sloutsky) Hazelbaker, Boston MA, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Mary (Barrett) Moorman, her brothers Richard and Bob (Ruby) Moorman, sisters Rosemary (Bill) Boles and Dorothy (Harris) Crowder, and son-in-law Paul Gallo.
Wanda started working early as a telephone operator in Matthews, Indiana and later served for several years as secretary at Jefferson Township High School and Eastbrook High School. She actively supported her husband in farming activities. She was a multi-talented woman who loved to sew, read, and garden. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Wanda will be missed.
A private Memorial Service for family will be held Sunday, March 25 2:00pm at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fairmount Chapel, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, Indiana, with Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Epworth Methodist Church in Matthews, Indiana.
