UPDATE: More Details On Yesterday’s Fatal US 24 Crash In Huntington County

RURAL HUNTINGTON COUNTY,Indiana – A Wabash man was seriously injured and a Fort Wayne man died in multiple accidents yesterday in rural Huntington County close to the junction between US 24 and SR 105. Wabash resident Benjamin Corn, 66, who was riding a “trike” motorcycle clipped a Ford Fusion driven by 44-year-old Andrews resident Wendi Biehl when Biehl moved into the right hand lane after turning onto US 24 from SR 105. Corn’s trike reportedly flipped several times and he was ejected from the motorcycle. Corn was reportedly not wearing a helmet. He was airlifted to Parkview Regional Medical Center with head injuries. Biehl was not injured.

About an hour later, the traffic was still stopped in the eastbound lane of US 24. A Chevy pickup truck driven by Kevin Seitz, 54, Fort Wayne, did not slow down and rear ended a stopped semi driven by 54-year-old Roger Stonerook of Springdale, Ohio. According to a Huntington County Sheriff’s report, the pickup truck went beneath the semi-trailer and Seitz died of blunt force trauma to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi was not injured.
