United Way Campaign Kick-off a success thanks to all who participated

This from the United Way of Miami County: MIAMI COUNTY, IN- The United Way of Miami County would like to thank the generous sponsors and donors who made our 2021 Campaign Kick-off successful.  The Kick-off at McClure’s Orchard/Winery with the ducky drop at the bridges on the Wabash River was an exciting evening to begin the campaign.  Thank you to our sponsors and donors:  Beacon Credit Union, Crossroads Bank, First Farmers Bank and Trust, Hometown Federal Credit Union, McClure’s Orchard/Winery (Tollhouse), Ruoff Mortgage (Amy Million).

A special thanks to Sparrow 5 for providing the entertainment, the Peru Fire Department for providing the safety net and equipment, and the Peru Police Department guarding both bridges for our pedestrians’ safety. We want to thank the Special Events Committee and their spouses, as well as Carrie Young, Campaign Chair, for all their time, dedication, and effort in what it took to make this year’s event a huge success. Lastly, we want to thank Kenny Hanson and his family for guiding the ducks down the Wabash River. Without their kayaks, the ducks would have taken hours to make it to the Broadway bridge. To anyone we may have omitted, we apologize.  We sincerely appreciate all who participated and look forward to continuing this annual event.

Sincerely,

United Way of Miami County
