Trula J. Cramer

Trula J. Cramer, 75, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 12:17 pm, Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born February 8, 1943 in Wabash County, Indiana to J.C. and Ruth (Tait) Draper.

Trula was a 1961 graduate of Somerset High School. She first married Gary Frank, he survives. She then married Philip E. Cramer on August 31, 2008, in Crawfordsville, Indiana. She was a member of Bachelor Creek Church of Christ, where she played the organ and piano from 1963-2006. She also played at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service for 35 years. Trula was the first executive director of the Wabash County Visitor’s Bureau and also gave piano lessons for several years. She was a former member of Wabash Musicale, also played for services at the Wabash Church of Christ, and enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s activities.

She is survived by her husband, Philip Cramer of Wabash; eight children, Bryan (Kim) Frank of Urbana, Penny (Randy) Tackett of Wabash, Rex (Shanna) Frank of Waxahachie, Texas, Melody (Cory) Roberts of Oregon City, Oregon, Tim (Amy) Frank of Boca Raton, Florida, Dan (Ashley) Frank of Wabash, Phylis Jean (Tom) McNamee of Bright, Indiana, and Christie K. (Tony) Thomas of Crawfordsville, Indiana; 20 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; brother, Jim (Dianne) Draper of Larwill, Indiana; and her sister, Doris (Steve) Reiff of South Whitley, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter-in-law Trisha Frank.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Tony Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Wabash County. Friends may call 2-8 pm Monday, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is the Rett Syndrome Foundation.
