Joyce Creager, 78, of Peru passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana.
She was born in Peru on January 15, 1940 to Edith Comer Bardsley. She was a 1958 graduate of Peru High School, and married John T. Creager on December 3, 1960. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1985. Joyce was retired from Square D Company and Peru Community Schools.
She is survived by her children Lori (John) Brehmer, Lisa (Dave) Prather, Lynda Creager, and Joseph (Catt) Creager. Also, grandchildren Barney (Stacy) Brehmer, Adam (Katie) Brehmer, John Brehmer, Tina Creager, Amanda (Mickey) Rush, Aaron (Brittany) Creager, Marty (Bridget) Prather, Joe (Leah) Henke, Samantha (Corey) Black, and Austin Thompson; as well as 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are extended family members Richard & Katherine Alley, Paul & Carol Creager, John & Jean Singer, Donald & Beverly Creager, Kay Miller Caylor, and Bill Miller.
Joyce was preceded in death by her mother, her husband, and sister Joan Bardsley.
Visitation will be held from 1pm – 3pm on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. Funeral service will follow at 3pm, with Pastor Adam Mauman officiating. Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru.
