Tony R. Talbert, 65, of Marion, passed away at 8:26 pm on Saturday, November 4, 2023, in Marion. He was born in Kokomo, Indiana, on Sunday, June 8, 1958, to Rex and Marilyn (Hannah) Talbert. He married Julia Ann (Cruson), who preceded him in death.
Tony graduated from Oak Hill High School, after which he trained for and worked as a journeyman electrician for nearly 40 years before retiring. He was a member of the union IBEW 873 in Kokomo. He liked Rock and Roll music and horror movies. He loved his friends and family and was always willing to do anything for them.
Tony is survived by his daughter, Ciera (Kyle) Brooks of Bastrop, TX; brother, Tracy (Theresa) Talbert of Fairmount; and sisters, Terra Dickman of Kokomo and Tina (Matt) Baldwin of FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Marilyn Talbert; his beloved wife, Julia Ann Talbert; and sister, Tammy Closser.
At Tony’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. His family will hold a celebration of Tony’s life at a later time.
