Jerry Lee Hatfield

Jerry Lee Hatfield, age 85, of Kokomo, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 4, 2023.  He was born on August 26, 1938, to Claude and Arrabella Hatfield.  He was a proud Navy Veteran, who served from 1955 to 1959.  

Jerry worked at Fisher Body in Marion for 37 years.  He was a member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Kokomo for 23 years and served as a Trustee.  He also loved pitching horseshoes for many years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Hatfield of Kokomo; sons, Rodney (Linda) Hatfield of Alamosa, CO, and Jeffrey Hatfield of Marion; step-son, Johnathan (Bobbi) Jasay of Kokomo; step-daughter, Kelly Fife of Pittsboro; step-grandsons, Dakota Jasay, Joseph, and Levi Jasay, all of Kokomo, and Austin (Cassadi) Jasay of Marion; step-granddaughters, Jewel Jasay, Jeanette (Kraig) Richmond, Lydia Jasay, and Laura Jasay, all of Kokomo, and Shelby Roose of Pittsboro; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Marion “DoDo” Ellis, Fred Ellis, Fredrick Hatfield, and Gerald Hatfield; sisters, Susiebelle Hatfield Wisterman and Gretchen Hatfield Applegate; his first wife, Nyla Hatfield; and grandson, Ryan Hatfield.

The family will receive visitors from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Rybolt Chapel, 314 N. Washington St., Swayzee, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a funeral service to celebrate Jerry’s life will begin at 11:00 am with Pastor Gary Woodring officiating.  Burial will take place at Marion National Cemetery.
