Tina Rene Murphy, 51, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 10:59 pm, Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She was born on June 15, 1972, in Wabash, Indiana, to Harold V. and Marcella Jean (Vires) Booth.
Tina was a 1990 graduate of Wabash High School and received her Associate Degree from Indiana Business College. She married Gregory Alan Murphy in Wabash on February 12, 2000; he died August 31, 2012. Tina worked at General Tire and W.C. Mills in Wabash, was a manager for Advanced America in Marion, was a licensed beautician, and also worked at Marion General Hospital. She attended Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church in Wabash. Tina enjoyed shopping, doing hair, nails, and makeup, traveling, and her dogs.
She is survived by two children, Chandler (Lacey) Murphy of Wabash, MaKayla Murphy of Wabash, father, Harold V. Booth of Wabash, two grandchildren, Oliver Murphy and Ivory Murphy, both of Wabash, significant other, Pete Nelson of Wabash, and her close friend, Kellie Sullivan of Wabash. She was also preceded in death by her mother.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Terry Hinds officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may come from 12:30 – 2:00 pm, Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Mental Health Association.
