Sharon A. Vanlandingham, 80, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 10:30 am, Friday, July 28, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She was born on July 24, 1943, in Wabash, to Gordon and Elsie I. (Long) Harman.
Sharon was a 1962 graduate of Wabash High School. She married Gerald Vanlandingham at the Wabash Church of the Brethren on July 27, 1963. She worked at General Tire in Wabash, retiring after 43 years. Sharon enjoyed working crafts, mowing the lawn, and keeping house.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Vanlandingham; son, Jeffery A. Vanlandingham; daughter-in-law, Charity (Tony) Hough of Wabash; and three grandchildren, Jeffery S. Vanlandingham, Tony Hough, and Tyler Hough, all of Wabash. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Mike T. Vanlandingham, and her sister, Susan Ferguson.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Rev. Nathan Whybrew officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 5-7 pm Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Wabash County Cancer Society.
