Timothy “Tim” Allan Bragg, 63, of Marion, passed away at 8:17 pm on Saturday, August 19, 2023, in Marion. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Friday, March 18, 1960, to Robert and Emily (McKoon) Bragg.
Tim was a graduate of Marion High School’s Class of 1978. He was proud to follow in his father’s footsteps of being a heavy equipment operator. He started out working for his uncle at Dick Bragg Excavating and then worked at several companies through the International Union of Operating Engineers #103. He was a member of Jesus Fellowship Family Church.
Tim loved to be outdoors, especially going fishing. He was a member of the Marion Highsteppers in his younger years, and this led him to his love of playing the drums. He liked doing auto body work. Tim was an avid NASCAR fan, and his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt. More than anything, Tim had a deep admiration of his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his sons, Nathan A. (Stephanie) Bragg of Marion and Michael L. (Caitlin) Bragg of Marion; daughter, Amy N. (Eric Aschendorf) Bragg of Van Buren; grandsons, Chad Stevens, Ethan Bragg, Elijah Bragg, Owen Bragg, Nathan Bragg, Conner Bragg, and Logan Bragg; granddaughters, Lesleigh Bragg and Madilyn Bragg; brother, Rob (Taska Brown) Bragg of Jonesboro; sister, Debbie (Luther) Shrout of Fairmount; plus several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert R. and Emily A. Bragg, and grandson, Tyler Bragg.
The family will receive visitors from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday, August 25, 2023, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a memorial service to celebrate Tim’s life will begin at 6:00 pm.
