Timothy John “Tim” Sollars, age 53, of Gas City, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023 at Marion Health Hospital in Marion.
Tim was born on December 4, 1969, the son of Sherman and Frances “Dianne” (Lusher) Sollars. He was very active in sports growing up and loved playing baseball. He was a Chicago Cubs fan and loved watching Indianapolis Colts football. Tim’s favorite sport to watch on T.V. was college softball, He always said “I believe they play harder than anybody.” He loved construction and worked for his then boss, and now friend, J.C. Porter. Tim was a member of the Servant Community Church in Marion.
Tim was a huge prankster and joker. He loved to make people laugh, even at his own expense. Tim was very passionate about helping individuals through their struggles in life.
He is survived by his children, Noah Sollars, Emily Kemble, Jessy Williamson and Logan Mullenix; his siblings, Lynn (Donald) Prater-Smith, Joe (Brandi) Sollars, Chris (Nancy) Sollars, and Amy (Jon) Newell; uncle, David (Shauna) Lusher; several nieces and nephews; and great-neices and great-nephews.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Ashley Nicole.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at the Servant Community Church, 1533 E. 37th Street, Marion, Indiana. Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Darrell Smith officiating.
