Thomas T. Lennon

Loving and devoted husband and father, Thomas T. Lennon, 85, of Peru, Indiana passed away at 5:02am on Monday, December 3, 2018.

He was born in Peru on September 28, 1933 to William Floyd and Ida Mae (Madlem) Lennon.  He was a retired sheet metal worker/welder and a retired Civil Service Employee at Grissom Air Reserve Base.  He also served in the United States Navy from 1952-1956 during the Korean Conflict.  Thomas was a member of the First Church of the Brethren in Peru.  He was also a member of the Bunker Hill Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite of Ft. Wayne, a member of the American Legion in Walton, and both the Moose Lodge and Eagles Lodge in Peru.  Thomas and his wife Sally also owned and operated the Paramount Bar & Grill from 1970-1977.

He is survived by his loving wife Sally (Black) Lennon; one son Thomas M. Lennon and wife Avis of Peru; and two daughters, Deidre S. Bench of Peru, and Angela M. Bucher and husband Todd of Peru.  Also surviving are nine grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister, and one son James T. Lennon.

Visitation will be held from 3pm – 5:30pm on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana.  Funeral service will be held at 5:30pm with Pastor Phil Cruea officiating.  Masonic service will follow at 6pm.  Military service will be provided by the Miami County Military Rites Team.

Donations may be made to the new Miami County YMCA Capital Campaign Fund, 34 East 6th Street, Peru, Indiana 46970 in the Lennon family name.
