Teddy “Ted” L. Miller

Teddy “Ted” L. Miller, 71, Marion, passed away in his home at 1:20 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2018.  He was born in Marion on February 28, 1947, to the late Essa “Bud” and Mildred (Ice) Miller.  On June 7, 1975, Ted married Paula J. Stewart, and she survives.

Ted was a 1965 graduate of Marion High School and a U.S. Army veteran, who served during the Vietnam War in Berlin, Germany.  Throughout his career, Ted was a truck driver for J Trans, Stuber Farms, and Brankle Brothers, as well as a mechanic for Miller Trucking and the City of Marion.

Ted enjoyed autobody work, metal working, wood working, and bird watching.  He loved his kids and grandchildren, whom he enjoyed watching swim.  One of his favorite pastimes was spending time with his friends, Mitch Gabbard, Greg Nichols, Jerry Payne, Charlie Pack, Rene, Gerald, June Robbins, and several other friends and neighbors.  Ted also loved his dogs, Marnie “Fuzzy” and Max “Slick”.

He will be missed by his loving wife of 42 years, Paula; children, Celina (Mark Guciardo) Robinson, Louisville, Austin (Dalinda Atkinson) Robinson, Gas City, and Tracy Scheffer, Marion; and grandchildren, Hailee Scheffer and Dalton Scheffer.

His son-in-law, Paul Scheffer, Jr., also preceded him in death.

The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Ted’s funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.  Pastor Matthew Trexler will be officiating with burial following at Grant Memorial Park.
