Shirley A. Morrison, 92, of Marion, passed away in her home at 3:14 pm on Friday, April 5, 2024. She was born in Cicero, Illinois, on Friday, January 22, 1932, to Howard and Anna (Pellish) Crawley. On January 18, 1953, she married Hubert A. Morrison, and he preceded her in death on December 13, 2003.
Shirley was a secretary at Dobson Construction Company in Marion. She was very active in the Elks Country Club in Marion and the Kingswood Condo Association in Stuart, Florida. She loved spending time in Florida during the winters, and she collected pelicans. Shirley was dedicated to her late husband and couldn’t wait to see him again. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Adams of Marion; son, Michael (Debra) Morrison of Crown Point; grandchildren, Michelle (Glenn Martin) Adams of Marion, Timothy (Elizabeth) Adams of Elkhart, Tiffanie (Peter) Rosenkrantz of Crown Point, and Amanda Morrison of Crown Point; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Aidan, Hunter, Kinley, Cameron, and Adeline; sister-in-law, Janice Crawley; and many special friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ronald Crawley and William Crawley; and her beloved dog, Beau.
There will be a celebration of Shirley’s life at a later date.
