Sharon S. Singleton, 86, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 4:22 pm, Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Peabody Healthcare Center in North Manchester. She was born on July 20, 1937, in Wabash, Indiana, to Elmer and Ethel (Needham) Floyd. She was later adopted and raised by Azell and May (Bright) Miller in 1949.
Sharon married Elmer Singleton in Wabash on January 18, 1964; he died February 22, 2009. She worked at General Tire Company in Wabash for several years and retired from Memcor in Huntington, Indiana after 22 years. Sharon loved to bowl and golf. She was a member of the Honeywell Golf Club and the Senior Bowling league in Wabash. She loved animals and was a big supporter of the Animal Humane Society.
She is survived by two children, Jeff (Susan) Singleton of North Manchester, and Connie (John) Hoffer of Morrow, Ohio, seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and three great great granddaughters. She was also preceded in death by her parents, adoptive parents, son, Terry Lee Singleton who died in 2006, granddaughter, Misha Linn Singleton Monce who died in 1998, grandson, Jordan Anthony Singleton who died in 1979, and all of her brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Monday, October 9, 2023, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash. Burial will be in South Pleasant Cemetery, Silver Lake, Indiana. Friends may call 12:30 – 2:00 pm Monday, at the funeral home.
