Sharon Kay Rodarte

Sharon Kay Rodarte, 59, of Mashpee, MA, formerly of Grant County, passed away peacefully at home after a brave battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family on September 17, 2018.  She was the beloved wife of Rick Rodarte and daughter of the late Glen and Bernice Worden.

Born in Marion, Indiana, Sharon graduated from Oak Hill High School and Parkview Methodist School of Nursing.  She worked as a nurse for over 35 years, most recently as a hospice nurse.  She enjoyed reading and bird watching. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.  She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, friend, and nurse and will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.

In addition to her husband Rick, Sharon is survived by two children, Sarah (Albert) Crooker, Medfield, Massachusetts, and Daniel (girlfriend Hazel Baker) Rubinton, Somerville, Massachusetts; her brothers, Gary (Jill) Worden, Interlochen, Michigan, and Mike (Linda) Worden, Fairfield, Pennsylvania; one niece, four nephews, three grandnephews; and her beloved Cairn terrier, Karma.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. with Sharon’s memorial service beginning at 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Sharon to the Dana Farb.
