Sharon Kay Maggart, 64, of Wabash, Indiana, went to be with her Lord at 1:41 am, Friday, October 27, 2023, at Parkview Wabash Hospital. She was born on September 23, 1959, in Lancaster, Ohio, to Jonas Vandermark and Barbara (Corey) Carpenter.
Sharon was a 1977 graduate of Northfield High School. She worked at Beacon Credit Union in Wabash for 26 years. Her family was her life and everything about her life involved family. She enjoyed traveling with family and working puzzles.
She is survived by four children, Crystal (Billy) Lester and Brandy Harrington both of Wabash, and Andrew Maggart, and Nicholas Maggart, both of Carmel, Indiana, six grandchildren, Madison Lester of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Alexis (Eric) Fenton of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Sydney Lester, Jade Harrington, Gavin Lester and Elaina Harrington, all of Wabash, mother, Barbara Carpenter of Wabash, three brothers, David Vandermark of Andrews, Indiana, Dan Vandermark of Colorado, and Brian (Teresa) Stevens, of Wabash, and her former spouse, Brett Maggart of Wabash. She was preceded in death by her father, and her dad Richard Carpenter.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Bill Sheets officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 4-8 pm Monday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Wabash County Cancer Society.
