Scott William Henthorn

Scott William Henthorn, 63, of rural Silver Lake, Indiana, died at 11:43 p.m., Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born January 24, 1955 in Cambridge, Ohio to David William and Thelma Jo (Smith) Henthorn.

Scott was a 1973 graduate of Wabash High School and attended Ivy Tech college. He married Theresa “Terri” Hamilton at the Wabash Church of Our Savior United Methodist Church in Wabash, on July 17, 1976. He retired from Pike Lumber Company. Scott was a member of the National Rifle Association, Me-To-Cin-Yah Longrifles, and the Fulton County Historical Society, where he served on the Steering Committee. He enjoyed cutting wood, mushroom hunting, and many outdoor activities.

He is survived by his wife, Terri Henthorn of Silver Lake; grandson, Tristan Henthorn and daughter-in-law, Leslie Henthorn, both of Wabash; sister, Sue (Bob) Shennan of New Zealand, and several nieces, nephews, and very close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Jason Scott Henthorn who died in 2014, and his brother, David Henthorn.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Rick Tolley officiating. Burial will be in Enterprise Cemetery, Roann. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
