Sandra S. (McCammon) Huffman, 69, of Marion, went home to her beloved Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, August 11, 2023, after a battle with ALS. She was born in Bluffton, Indiana, on October 6, 1953, to Darrell McCammon and Sue (Ahrens) McCollum. She was also blessed with a wonderful step-father, Lou McCollum.
Sandra graduated from Blackford High School. She babysat in her home, worked as a medical secretary and substitute taught for many years. Sandra was a voracious reader and loved scary movies. She loved being a grandma and aunt. Sandra was a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church where she was very active in the church and children’s ministry. She had a servant’s heart and enjoyed helping people. Sandra loved drama and was a very fun loving person. She enjoyed searching for and collecting rocks, loved history, archeology and antiques.
Along with her husband of 29 years, Ken Huffman, Sandy is also survived by her son, Marc (Conya) Gaier; 6 sisters; 2 brothers; 6 grandchildren, Caden Gaier, Caylee Gaier, Conner Gaier, Caitlin Gaier, Nathan Lozoya, and Nicholas Lozoya; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Mike Gaier.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
