Sandra L. Rutledge, 66, of Fairmount, died Sunday, December 30, 2018 at IU Ball Memorial Hospital.
Sandra was born on December 29, 1952 in Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter of the late Andrew and Glenda Grubb. Sandra was a QMA and had worked at University Nursing Center for 30 years and also at Wesleyan Health Care. Sandra loved her grandchildren, collecting angels and reading. When starting a book, coke in hand, she didn’t put it down until she finished. Sandra loved caring for people. She enjoyed watching TV. Some of her favorites were MASH, Star Trek, Old Westerns, Price is Right and the Hallmark Channel.
Sandra is survived by 2 daughters; Amy (Scott Cole) and Michelle (Scott) Ogden, both of Fairmount; three sons; Mike (Andrea) Grubb, Noblesville, Adam (Dana Slater) Rutledge, Gaston, and Matthew (Ashley) Rutledge, Summitville; two sisters; Cammie (Greg) Brown, Hartford City, Terrie (Danny) McCormick, Muncie; brother, Ron (Deborah) Grubb, Fishers; 12 grandchildren and 6 great- grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her life partner, Fred Floyd, and sister Kristina Marie Grubb.
Visitation is Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana from 5-7 PM. Funeral service is Friday, January 4, 2019 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Matthews Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home for expenses.
