David R. Greer, 76, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018, in Marion, Indiana. He was born in Peru, Indiana on November 4, 1942, to the late Donald and C. Gayle (Coomler) Greer. He graduated from Peru High School. David was in the Air Force for five years. He married his wife, Rebecca Gear on November 24, 1967. They liked to attend Lighthouse Assembly of God together. Before moving to Marion, they attended All Nations Church of God in Cleveland, TN. David was an active man who enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, hunting, boating and when he was younger he enjoyed racing motorcycles.
David is survived by his wife, Rebecca Greer, Marion; daughter, Jennifer (Eric) Peters, Marion; son, Jason Greer, Marion; grandchildren, Jacob Peters, Johnathan Peters, Justin Peters, Brittani Peters and Megan Florez; five brothers, Curt (Sandy) Greer, Steve Greer, Charles (Sandy) Greer, Jeff (Jody) Greer, and Richard (Penney) Greer; four sisters, Carol (Everett) Bachman, Linda Greer-Collins, Mary (Connie Whetstone) Salzburn, and Cheryl (Norman) Gingrich.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Arrangements for David have been entrusted to College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953. There will be a private memorial held at a later date.
