Ruth Ann Gridley, 77, of Peru, Indiana passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018.
She was born in Knox, Indiana on December 8, 1940 to Oscar Gridley and Dorthy (Colwell) Gridley. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Gridley and Dorthy Crist. Also, one brother Lester Eugene Gridley Sr., and one sister Paulette Crist-Williams, as well as a daughter Donna J. Spurgeon-Herdrich. She is survived by a granddaughter Brionna Craig, and a great-granddaughter Arianna Molder. Also surviving are one sister Nadean (Roy) Schafer and three brothers, Allen (Carolyn) Crist, Joel (Cheryl) Crist, and Leon (Ellie) Crist, as well as lots of nieces and nephews.
Ruth was a graduate of Peru High School, a retiree of Square D Co., and co-owner of R&R Upholstery for 10 years. She kept herself very busy, either reading, gardening, playing card games, taking care of animals, or listening to classical music. She was part of Quilters of St. Charles and Caring Hearts funeral dinners.
Services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana. Visitation starts at 10am, with funeral services led by Father Adam Mauman starting at 1pm. Burial will follow at Ever-Rest Memorial Park in Cass County, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Miami County Helping Hands through the funeral home.
