Roxie Pearl Wade, 85, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 9:25 a.m., Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Parkview Wabash Hospital. She was born April 27, 1933 in Elkhart, Indiana to Kenneth McNeely and Wilma (Moore) Heaps.
She married Paul Wade in Wabash on February 15, 1958; he died January 3, 1990. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Elks Lodge, and the American Legion Auxiliary, all of Wabash. She enjoyed shopping, sewing, and working crafts.
She is survived by two children, Connie (Louis) Noirot and Jerome “Jerry” (Tammy) Wade, both of Wabash, six grandchildren, Jony (Brian) Watkins of Lebanon, Tennessee, Ben (April) Mota, Saul (Megan) Mota, Joshua (Chasity) Mota, Andrea (Denver) Brown and Amanda Langston, all of Wabash; 13 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and three sisters, Carol (Jack) Holsworth of Tavares, Florida, Cheryl (Steve) Schanz of Topeka, Kansas, and Gloria (Ray) Watts of Culver, Indiana. She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Brenda Wade, and four brothers.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2018 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Brad Eckerley officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
