Adrian Campbell, 81, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 10:25 am, Monday, October 8, 2018 at Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Wabash. He was born July 2, 1937 in Water Gap, Kentucky to Joe and Merle (Hubbard) Campbell.
Adrian married Leona Mae Samons, in Wabash, on October 6, 1956. He retired from General Tire in Wabash, in 1994, after 35 years. He was a member of the Wabash Free Will Baptist Church on Erie Street. Adrian enjoyed fishing, trap shooting, and was an avid Kentucky Wildcats and Cincinnati Reds fan.
He is survived by his wife, Leona Mae Campbell of Wabash; six children, Sheree Spradlin of Jamestown, Tennessee, Mark Campbell, Shawna Herron, and Adrian DeWayne (Bernice) Campbell, all of Wabash, Sabrina (John) Preikszas of Holland, Michigan, and Jeremy (Misty) Campbell of Wabash; 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren; brother, Dave Campbell and sister, Nancy (Darvin) Shortrich, both of Prestonsburg, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters, and two granddaughters, Tabetha Bailey and Adrianne Townsel.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Friday, October 12, 2018 at Wabash Free Will Baptist Church, 1056 E. Erie Street, Wabash, with Pastor Tod Masters officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may 4-8 pm Thursday, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash.
Preferred memorials are Alzheimer’s Association or American Heart Association .
