Rose Magdalene Overman, 93, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 6:00 am, Monday, December 11, 2023, at The Waters of Wabash East. She was born on November 1, 1930, in Fairmount, Indiana, to Raymond and Rose Elliott (Brogan) Kinch.
Rose was a 1949 graduate of Fairmount High School. She married Jack Jennings Overman in Gas City, Indiana on November 12, 1955; he died January 18, 2004. Rose was a homemaker. She enjoyed being with family and friends, talking and visiting with people, and going out to eat.
She is survived by her daughters, Teresa (John) Mason of Wabash, and Karen (Roy) Schaus of Muncie, Indiana; three grandchildren, Carina Mason of Mackinaw, Michigan, Kaleigh Schaus and Khloe Schaus, both of Muncie; and her sister, Mary Weesner of Marion, Indiana. She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter Marcia Ann Stinger, grandson Bryce Mason, and four brothers.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Todd Render officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 12:30 – 2pm Thursday, at the funeral home.
