Rosanna P. Bloxson, 102 years young, Bluffton, passed away at 6:09 pm on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Ossian Health and Rehab. She was born in Mexico, Indiana, on Sunday, October 13, 1918, to Charles E. and Murta Pearl (Chaplin) Resler.
Rosanna graduated from Chili High School in 1937. She worked at General Tire as an inspector for 30 years, retiring in July of 1977. She was a member of Center Chapel First Brethren Church, Ladies Aide, and General Tire Retirees (Wabash). She also volunteered at the Senior Center in Marion. Rosanna enjoyed playing Bingo, as well as baking.
Survivors include her daughter, Doris Owings of Bluffton; granddaughters, Kathy (Ed) McEvoy of Bluffton and Tiffany (Ollie) Gephart of Bluffton; grandson, Mark (Jill) Burnsworth of Bluffton; great-granddaughters, Tabitha (Jeri) and Briah; great-grandsons, Brent (Tara), Ryan, Jake (Kaylin), and Shawn; great-great-granddaughters, Aurora and Amy; and great-great-grandsons, Zaiden, Conner, Liam, and Raziel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ruth Resler Wilson and Garnett Miller; brothers, Lyman Resler, Volney Resler, and Floyd Resler; and special friend, Robert “Bob” Williams.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Rosanna’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Randy Myers officiating. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Mexico, Indiana.
Per the family’s request, all attendees are asked to wear a mask for visitation and service.
