Ronnie Verl Turner, 75, of Alexandria, passed away at 1:25 pm on Monday, March 20, 2023, in his home. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Wednesday, February 4, 1948, to Buford and Gladys (Burke) Turner. On November 30, 1979, he married Linda Sue Hubbard, and she survives.
Ronnie served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. He achieved the rank of Sergeant and was honorably discharged.
In addition to his wife, Linda Sue Turner, Ronnie is survived by his daughter, Annette Moran; step-daughter, Rhonda Smith; step-sons, Rodney Holloway and Robbie Holloway; brother, Steve Turner; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Buford C. Turner; and mother, Gladys Mae Turner.
The family will have a private graveside service with military honors at Marion National Cemetery at a later date.
