Roberta M. King, 97, Marion, went to be with the Lord at 10:03 am on Friday, May 12, 2023, in her home. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Friday, January 29, 1926, to Clay and Lottie (Teal) Riddle. On June 7, 1941, she married Roy King, Jr., and he preceded her in death.
Roberta worked at Dave’s Stop and Shop for many years and also Lincoln Elementary School, where she was a cafeteria worker for several years. She attended Grace Community Church.
Survivors include her son, David (Joyce) King of Marion; daughters, Rita (John) Morris of Snohomish, WA, and Loraine (David) Faulk of Marion; grandchildren, Michelle Niccum, Grant Randall, Belynda Johnston, Nicole Grantham, Jeremy Morris, and Brandon Schaaf; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; 11 siblings; daughter, Sandra K. Randall; and son, Keith King.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Roberta’s life will begin at 3:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
