Roberta M. Harris, 87, Marion, passed away at 12:59 pm on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Marion. She was born in Flemingsburg, Kentucky, on Saturday, November 23, 1935, to Vernie “Dugie” and Katherine (Vice) McKee. She was married to Ray W. Harris, who preceded her in death.
Roberta attended Locust School and was a homemaker throughout her life. She faithfully served her family. Roberta loved babysitting, rummage sales, flea markets, bowling, and, as time passed, loved accompanying Ray to the bowling alley and watching him bowl.
Survivors include sisters, Roseann Crump of Flemingsburg, KY, Carolyn (Victor) Perkins of Hillsboro, KY, and Lindalou (Bobby) Dotson of Moraine, OH, and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Vernie McKee, Jr., and Bobby Joe McKee; and brother-in-law, Albert Crump.
The family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Roberta’s life will begin at 1:30 pm with Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
