Robert Deloss Wise, Sr., 89, Macy, Indiana, and formerly of Merrillville, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at his residence.
Born May 6, 1928, in DeKalb County, Indiana, he was the son of Clarence M. and Helen M. Wise. He was married to the former Ocie Bernice Roy, and she preceded in death on March 31, 2010.
He retired from the E, J, & E Railroad and Waggoner Blockhouse in Lake County.
Survivors include two children, Danny E. (Wendy) Wise, Macy; and Rhonda J. Olson, Arizona; grandchildren, Tammy (Larry) Isley, Eric Wise, Mark (Jen) Welliver, Robert Hansen, Nick Hansen, Dylan Hansen, and Grace Hansen-Wise; eighteen great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sons, Robert D. Wise, Jr. and David Wise, and one grandson, Donald Hansen.
There will be no visitation or funeral. The family is planning a celebration of life on Robert’s 90th birthday.
