Ricky E. (Nevels) Love, 62, Marion, passed away at 3:02 am on Saturday, July 30, 2022, in Marion. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Thursday, August 6, 1959, to Earnest and Addie (Rupert) Nevels. She was married to David Love, Jr., who preceded her in death on May 31, 2020.
Ricky graduated from Marion High School and worked in Production at General Tire in Wabash for 25 years. She accepted Christ at an early age under the ministry of Rev. Fred Wilson at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Ricky loved listening to music and watching basketball. Family was huge to her, and she will be missed dearly.
Survivors include daughter, Sia M’Bayo of Marion; step-son, Tamba M’Bayo, Jr.; grandson, Elijah Jessup; granddaughter, Kelia M’Bayo; brothers, Roni Nevels, Ray Nevels, Reggie (Vickie) Nevels, and Terry Nevels; sister, Robin Nevels Johnson; and special friends, Tamba M’Bayo, Helen Pettiford, Jackie Jones, Deborah Moore Taylor, Da’Nilah “boss baby” Fouce, Jennifer (Fremont) Burks, and Aiylah Johnson.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm on Friday, August 5, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Ricky’s life will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Stanford Bolden and Pastor Sia M’Bayo officiating.
