Richard E. Wolfe

Richard E. Wolfe, 86, of Marion, IN, passed away at his sons home on Saturday, October 20, 2018   in Anderson, IN.  He was born on Saturday, July 23, 1932, in Marion, IN.  He married Sonia L. Muterspaugh on Friday, August 28, 1953 in Bloomfield, IN.  Richard was a 1951 graduate of Marion High School and had also graduated with a BA degree from Indiana Wesleyan in Marion, IN.  He attended the Countryside Church.  He retired from R.C.A. Thompson in Marion.  He was a life member of Post #10 American Legion, Amvets Post #5, both in Marion, IN and a solider of the Salvation Army.  He served his country in the US Army.

He was preceded in death by his Wife – Sonia L. (Muterspaugh) Wolfe, Father – Gerald Wolfe, Mother – Doretha Elizabeth (Apple) Miller, and Brother – Marvin Wolfe.

Family and friends may gather to share and remember at the Marion Salvation Army Corps. Marion, IN. on Thursday, October 25, 2018  from 5:00 PM  to 8:00 PM.

A service to celebrate Richard’s life will be at the Marion Salvation Army Corps. at 11:00 AM  on Friday, October 26, 2018 with Major Michael Wolfe and Rev. Benjamin Parker officiating.  Interment will follow in the Marion National Cemetery in Marion. Military rites will be conducted by the U.S. Army.

Arrangements are being handled by Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home in Van Buren.
