Richard “Dick” J. MacDonald, 67, North Manchester passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019 in his home. On October 12, 1951, Richard was born in Wabash, Indiana to Major H. and Jarie L. (Marsillette) MacDonald.
Dick graduated from Manchester High School in 1969 and went on to work as an inspector for the Peabody Seating Company until its closing. He grew up on a poultry farm and was a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed International tractors and trucks as well as toy tractors.
Richard is survived by two nephews Michael MacDonald, Syracuse, IN and Brian MacDonald, Andrews, IN; one niece Heather Leidig, Huntington, IN; two aunts, Anna Bays and Nancy Hile; and one sister-in-law Janice MacDonald. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Thomas L. MacDonald.
Friends and family may call Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling. Rev. Jim MacDonald will officiate and burial will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery.
