Rebecca “Beckey” Johnson, 74, Marion, passed away at 1:47 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. Beckey was born on August 15, 1944, to the late Walter and Frances Collins.
Beckey attended Marion High School and later was a forklift operator at Thompson RCA. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. She loved planting and planning her next project. She was a happy-go-lucky person who was enjoyed by everyone with whom she came into contact. The greatest joy of her life was spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was very giving and will be remembered as someone who always brought a smile to your face and laughter to your heart.
She is survived by her children, Kelly (Ann) Ligocki, Noblesville, Tom Johnson, Northumberland, PA.; grandchildren, Brittany (Karl) Fox, Alexandria, Tyler (Michelle) Johnson, Osgood, Connor Ligocki, Noblesville, Cameron Ligocki, Noblesville; 4 great-grandchildren; sister Sondra (Al) Crouch, Marion; and special cats, Blacky and Thumper.
Also preceding her in death were her sister Patricia Deeter, brother, Ronald Collins and stepmom, Peggy Collins.
The family will receive visitors from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2018 with Beckey’s funeral service beginning at 6 p.m. at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Pastor Mick Simpkins will be officiating. A burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery at a later time.
