Randy Martin Sprong, 67, Amboy, passed away at 3:54 pm on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Tuesday, September 28, 1954, to Carlus and Mabel (Turner) Sprong-Stevens.
Randy graduated from Marion High School and was a truck-driving cowboy for over 30 years with USF Holland, retiring in 2021. He was a true outdoorsman, who especially enjoyed trail riding horses, hunting, and fishing. He was also an avid follower of the Indianapolis Colts. He loved his horse, Roy-L, his dog, Bo, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Survivors include his daughters, Autumn Sprong of Huntington and Jaquelin (Casey) Truman-Wuethrich of Milford Center, OH; sons, Travis (Rachel) Sprong of Amboy and Josh (Lindsay) Saylor of Marion; grandsons, Gabe, Silas, and Jaxon; granddaughters, Emma, Stella, Savanna, and Cora; sisters, Carol Moorehead, Darlene Behr, and Paula (Terry) Parson; nephews, Shannon Moorehead, Brandon Behr, and Tyler Parson; nieces, Heather Hamilton and Ashley Clark; friends, Tim and Barb Green, Rick and Terri Ashcraft, and Rick and Debbie Key; and mothers of his children, Amy Huber of Marion and Shauna Smith of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronald Stevens; and nephew, Chad Behr.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Randy’s life will begin at 1:00 pm. Father Adam Mauman will be officiating.
