WABASH COUNTY,IN   MSD of Wabash County will have two public forums to discuss the plans for reconfiguration.
Beginning with the 2017 school year, Northfield High School will house students in ninth through twelfth grades. Southwood High School will house students in fifth through eighth grade.
Sharp Creek Elementary School will be closed, and those students in grades K through four will go to Metro North Elementary School. Southwood Elementary School will also remain open.
The public forums will take place at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, at Northfield High School, and at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17 at Southwood High School.
“We will meet in the auditorium and explain the plan and give statistics,” Superintendent Mike Keffaber said in a district-wide telephone call Friday afternoon. “We will then break out into groups to take questions and gather input. Questions from the community will more than likely prompt more investigation prior to answering.”
Following the forums, Keffaber said, a list of frequently asked questions will be created and posted on the district’s website.
