Visit Wabash County announces launch of new LiveIN brand

Wabash, IN- Visit Wabash County (VWC) announces the launch of the LiveIN Wabash
County brand and communications strategy. Identified as a priority in Imagine One 85
(IO85), Wabash County’s comprehensive plan to address population decline, LiveIN
was created as an innovative, cohesive communication strategy building internal and
external awareness by promoting all that Wabash County has to offer.
“This aggressive approach to addressing population decline is a first for any community
in the State of Indiana,” said Visit Wabash County’s Executive Director Christine Flohr. “
VWC has proven effective at attracting tourists to the County, now we plan to expand
that focus by converting visitors to residents. The LiveIN Wabash County initiative is
critical for the continued economic vitality of our communities as well as the growth of
the work force.”
The LiveIN Wabash County initiative is a team effort between Visit Wabash County and
Imagine One 85, whose Advisory Board includes the City of Wabash, all incorporated
towns, Grow Wabash County, and the Community Foundation of Wabash County. The
goal of LiveIN is to provide resources, create targeted communication strategies, and
build community pride by bringing awareness to current residents about all the great
things going on in Wabash County, further making current residents the best advocates
for converting future residents. It is a one-stop resource to find places to rent, build, or
buy, things to do, educational opportunities, and a way to connect with Wabash
County residents. This new information hub is the first step of the countywide branding
initiative that is prioritized as a key need within the Imagine One 85 Plan.
“We have worked behind the scenes for months to brainstorm the information that is
pertinent and relevant to both the future resident and current residents,” said Visit
Wabash County’s Content Manager Biz Bishop. “We even include local ambassadors
for prospective residents to connect with those who are in a similar season of life. From
young professionals to seniors in life, the local ambassadors reflect a broad spectrum of
community stakeholders.“
The LiveIN initiative goes further than the web page, the LiveIN brand now has its very
ownFacebook and Instagram page to help bring additional awareness to Wabash
County. Those pages will highlight a variety of things from local leaders, job listings, local
events, house options and so much more.
“The collaboration between Visit Wabash County and Imagine One 85 was established
to take a proactive approach to combating Wabash County’s population decline
through a cohesive branding and communication strategy,” explained Imagine One
85’s Director Alex Downard. “We aimed to craft a clear and unique method to
showcase the strengths of Wabash County and its myriad of offerings. Teaming up with
Visit Wabash County, as the County’s primary marketing agency, was a strategic and
intentional choice, ensuring the potency and sustainability of the novel LiveIN Wabash
County branding initiative.”
