Entertainment honors volunteers at Annual Dinner

Wabash, IN – On Tuesday, April 30, Honeywell Arts & Entertainment held its annual volunteer recognition dinner at the Honeywell Center. The event honored over 100 volunteers who generously donated their time and contributed 10,960 hours in 2023 to support the organization’s various initiatives. This event is sponsored by Heartland REMC.
Honeywell Arts & Entertainment relies heavily on the dedication and support of its volunteers, who serve as theater ushers, festival help, tour guides, landscaping assistants, and administrative support. These individuals play a vital role in ensuring that the organization continues to offer exceptional programming and experiences to guests and visitors.
Roger Brown, House Operations Manager, conducted the night proceedings and welcomed the evening. Tod Minnich, Honeywell Arts & Entertainment President and CEO, addressed the group to express his gratitude for the volunteers striving to make Honeywell a world-class organization.
Nancy Fite, 2022 Volunteer of the Year, announced the 2023 Volunteer of the Year and stated, “Being a Honeywell volunteer is a real joy for me, and I look forward to continuing it for years to come. I love having the opportunity to meet new people while working with all the other great volunteers and the Honeywell team.”
Joyce Rosel was honored as 2023 Volunteer of the Year, adding, “Volunteering at Honeywell is both rewarding and enjoyable. I enjoy working with all of the other awesome volunteers. It is rewarding to meet and talk to guests, assist them with any needs so that they have an enjoyable experience, and share all of the arts and entertainment opportunities offered by Honeywell at its various venues. As a retired teacher, I also enjoy and find all the opportunities I have to assist with the Honeywell Arts In Education programs offered to the surrounding school districts rewarding. The Honeywell team members leading these programs are organized, well-prepared, and a joy to work with. Watching the many wonderful
concerts and shows is an added benefit.”
Following the Volunteer Dinner, attendees were treated to entertainment by musical mentalist Sidney Friedman. Friedman combined telepathy with piano virtuosity for an evening of laughter, music, and camaraderie.
