Preston Wayne Miracle, 60, of rural LaFontaine, Indiana, died at 8:25 pm, Monday, February 5, 2024, at his home. He was born on December 20, 1963, in Wabash, Indiana, to Jack and Anna J. (Hubbard) Miracle.
Preston was a 1982 graduate of Wabash High School, was a US Army veteran and also served in the Indiana National Guard. He married Linda S. Webb in Wabash on February 13, 1982. Preston worked at Wabash Alloys, retiring after 21 years. He served as the Alloys’ Union President several years, and was also the supervisor of housekeeping at the Marion V.A Hospital. Preston enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and his especially loved his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Linda S. Miracle of LaFontaine; two children, Shawn Miracle and Jamie (Matthew) Laferney, both of Wabash; five grandchildren, Alex (Jordan) Miracle of Lagro, Indiana, Cheyenne Miracle of Wabash, Skyler Miracle of Florida, Alexis Laferney and Kaitlyn Laferney, both of Wabash; two great-grandsons, Langston Miracle and Brookston Miracle, both of Wabash; father, Jack W. Miracle of Wabash; and his sister, Lori Strickler of Wabash. He was preceded in death by his mother, and his son, Joshua Miracle.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Tim Prater officiating. Friends may call 12:30-2:00 pm Thursday, at the funeral home. Burial will be 10:00 am Friday, February 9, 2024 at Marion National Cemetery.
