Police Arrest Another Passed Out Driver And Passenger In Miami County

BUNKER HILL,Indiana – There has been another reported unresponsive, intoxicated driver case – this time in Miami County. And what makes this worse is that police say the driver’s daughter was in the back seat. Miami County Sheriff Deputies day that 24-year-old Stephine Troyer was found passed out behind the wheel with her foot on the brake at the intersection of North Elm and East Main Streets in Bunker Hill around 3 pm Tuesday. Her 4-year-old daughter was apparently found improperly restrained in the back seat. Luckily, police say they were able to turn off the ignition before waking Troyer.

Not only was the driver passed out, but police say the a passenger in the vehicle, 26-year-old Jason Troyer, was passed out as well.

Stephine Troyer is now facing operating while intoxicated, endangering and neglect of a dependent and possession of paraphernalia charges. Jason Troyer is facing public intoxication and possession of paraphernalia charges.

A police dog was called to the scene and the canine indicated that there were drugs in the vehicle. Police apparently found two smoking devices in the cabin. Both are currently incarcerated in the Miami County Jail.
