Phyllis Jane Vironet

Phyllis Jane Vironet, 92, Gas City, received her eternal reward when she passed away in her home at 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.  She was born in Connersville on May 6, 1926, to the late Joel Mitchell and Effie Clara (Roberson) Grubbs.  Phyllis married William E. Vironet on July 11, 1953, and they shared nearly 62 years together before he preceded her in death on June 26, 2015.

Phyllis was a graduate of Connersville High School.  After moving to the Marion area, she was employed at RCA as an inspector.  She actively crocheted, making many items for her family and church.  She also loved to go to rummage sales.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl King, Marion, Pamela K. Michael, Gas City, Debra A. Gibbs, Gas City, and John E. (Maryann) Vironet, Winter Haven, Florida; 21 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren; half-sister, Patricia Lambert; and half-brother, William Grubbs.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Linda Vironet and Sandra Philebaum; son, William Briggs; and brother, Eugene Grubbs.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 17, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.

Services for Phyllis will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at the funeral home with Rev. David Steinke officiating.  Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park.
